Dal Ki Sabzi

The very name of the dish should make the cook in you curious enough to read on & try this delicious vegetable dish made from lentils.

Dal Ki Sabzi | Baatein Kadhai Se

Ingredients Split/Red Masoor Dal - 1 cup

Onion - 1 medium ground to a fine paste & 1 sliced

Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tablespoon

Red Chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon

Coriander Powder - 2 teaspoons

Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon


Salt to taste

Green Chilli - 2-3 finely chopped

Ginger - 1 inch finely chopped

Green Coriander - 1/2 cup chopped


Step 1 - Soak the dal overnight.

Step 2 - Grind it to a fine paste in the morning.

Step 3 - Heat oil in a pan, put the dal paste, salt, onion, green chillis, ginger & green coriander. Mix well.

Step 4 - You will soon see that the dal is drying up. Now its time to put this mixture on a plate. Spread it evenly.

Step 5 - After 30 mins, cut this mixture into small squares & sauté them in oil.

Step 6 - Take another pan, heat some oil, saute ground onion, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli, coriander, turmeric & Homemakerz Garam Masala powder. Add salt to taste.

Step 7 - Now put the square dal pieces in this masala & mix well.

Step 8 - Garnish with green coriander.

Step 9 - Serve hot either as a main course or a starter.
