This recipe is unique to our Kayastha home, potatoes are made in a thin gravy with no masala but just a bit of tempering. The vegetable alone adds flavour to the gravy. Interesting & delicious, do give it a try!
Ingredients
Potatoes - 250 Grams
Whole Dry Red Chillies - 2 Chopped
Garlic Cloves - 5-6 Sliced
Whole Methi - 1/2 Teaspoon
Hing a pinch
Salt to taste
Homemakerz Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Green Coriander to garnish
Oil - 1 Tablespoon
Water - 1 Glass
Method
Step 1 - Peel the potatoes and cut them in the shape of french fries.
Step 2 - Heat oil in a kadhai and temper with whole red chillies, garlic cloves, methi & hing.
Step 3 - Add potatoes, salt and sauté well for a few minutes.
Step 4 - Add water, cover & cook until potatoes are done.
Step 5 - Now garnish with Homemakerz Garam Masala & freshly chopped green coriander.
Step 6 - Serve hot with parathas.
Tip: This recipe can be eaten during upvaas too, just remember to omit the garlic.
