Urad Dal Kachori

This flavourful urad dal kachori is best enjoyed on special occasions & festivals with mutton curry or masala fish. If made for upvaas then it tastes best with sukhe or shorbe ke aloo.

Step 1 - Soak 1 cup urad dal overnight & coarsely grind it in the morning.

Step 2 - Proportionately mix 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground whole coriander seeds, 2 tablespoons of fennel, 1 tablespoon chilli flakes & a pinch of asafoetida.

Step 3 - Knead wheat flour dough with salt & asafoetida.

Step 4 - Make balls & roll out each ball, fill it with the dal mixture & roll again like a poori & deep fry them - one by one. Makes around 10 - 12 Kachoris.

Step 5 - Enjoy with aloo ki sabzi, masala fish or mutton curry.
