Cauliflower Stems With Rice Flour (Peethe Ke Danthal)

This is on of the most interesting & delicious way to use the stems of cauliflower.

Its spicy & crisp. Try it & you will keep coming back to it.

Ingredients


Cauliflower Stems - 500 grams

Onion - 2 medium ground to a fine paste

Ginger - Garlic Paste - 1 tablespoon

Red Chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon

Coriander Powder - 2 teaspoons

Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon

Rice Flour - 2 tablespoons

Fenugreek Seeds - 1 teaspoon

Mustard Oil

Salt to taste

Method

Step 1 - Cut the stems lengthwise, boil them & keep aside.

Step 2 - Heat oil in a pan, put fenugreek seeds, let them crackle.

Step 3 - Mix all the spices & masalas with the boiled stems, add to the pan & sauté on low heat.

Step 4 - When half done, add rice flour and continue to saute till red & crisp.

Step 5 - Garnish with green coriander.

Step 6 - Serve hot either as a main course or a starter.

Tip: In this recipe we can replace cauliflower stems with potatoes too.
