Chicken Khada Masala

This chicken khada masala is a healthy chicken recipe cooked in whole spices (khada masala). It is an easy preparation and makes for a wonderful weekend lunch alongside some rotis or paranthas.

Chicken Khada Masala | Baatein Kadhai Se


Chicken - 1kg

Onion - 2 medium sliced

Tomato - 2 medium sliced

Ginger - 2' sliced

Garlic - 8-10 cloves

Red Chillies Whole - 2

Whole Garam Masala - 2 tablespoons mix of Black Cardamom, Green Cardamom, Cloves, Black Pepper, Cumin, 1inch Cinnamon & 2 Bay Leaf

Curd - 1/2 cup

Green Chillies - 2

Green Coriander - 1/2 cup

Mustard Oil - 2 tablespoons

Salt to taste


Step 1 - Heat mustard oil in a pan, temper with whole garam masala.

Step 2 - Add sliced onion, saute lightly & add chicken pieces & salt. Sauté well till it turns light brown.

Step 3 - Now add sliced tomatoes, whole red chillies, sliced ginger & garlic & again sauté well.

Step 4 - Add curd & sauté until oil leaves the sides of the pan.

Step 5 - Add green chillies, saute lightly & garnish with green coriander & Homemakerz Garam Masala.

Step 6 - Serve hot with rotis or parathas.
